My name is Christina and, with my daughter Lisa, I would like to invite you to The Afternoon Tea Table.
We became interested in this when Lisa married in 2009. She wanted something other than the traditional sit-down or buffet meal and decided on a tea party with a classic, vintage theme.
Over two years we collected cups, saucers, plates, jugs, candlesticks - all manner of vintage tablewear.
We planned the table settings and layouts ourselves and the wedding was a huge success, with great feedback from our guests.
It was a wonderful day but afterwards we couldn’t let go of all those beautiful pieces that held such special memories. So, we have continued to collect and we offer them as a service for your special event. Please have a look at the services we provide and browse the gallery of photographs.

You don't need a garden

This table setting can be enjoyed anywhere you wish: perhaps outside in a garden or in a marquee. If you are worried about the weather then a room hired for the event would also be ideal.

So, it's not just for outside -
our English weather may not be perfect but our table settings will be!

We have a superb collection of vintage china and accessories for your special event; Wedding, Garden Party, Christening or Birthday

Event Decoration

We can see that your tables are filled with sweet-smelling flowers and many other decorative items.

We can provide decoration for your event with:

picnic baskets

Sweet Table

We can offer a Pick ‘n’ Mix sweet table with jars and bowls filled with delicious treats for young and old.

liquorice torpedoes
dolly mixtures
marshmallows
barley sugar

How The Afternoon Tea Table service works

We will visit you to talk about your event. We take full details of your requirements and use our expertise to make suggestions which you may not have considered.
We record details of the venue, the expected number of guests, the type, size and number of tables and how you would like them to be decorated.
If caterers are to be involved in the event, we would discuss with you how you would like us to work with them and then we would take responsibility for liaising with them.
On the day we would arrive in good time and personally set up the tables as specified and decorate the venue in the Afternoon Tea Table style. We would provide a full inventory of hire items.
After the event we clear away and clean. We then carry out a check against the inventory and return your deposit if all is OK.
